Applying for RMPEx Awards

HOW TO COMPLETE RMPEX AWARD APPLICATIONS

The RMPEx award applications are based on the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence ©, published by the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program (BPEP) ©, established by Congress in 1988.
The criteria consist of a set of questions about the way an organization operates and the results the organization obtains. The applicant’s description of the way it operates is evaluated using four factors; approach, deployment, learning and integration (ADLI). The results it obtains are evaluated using the four factors of levels, trends, comparisons, and integration (LeTCI).
To assist an organization with getting started on a journey to performance excellence, RMPEx offers a graduated approach to performance evaluation. Visit the Award Levels page for a description of the RMPEx award levels.

To complete an award application, the applicant creates answer to the criteria questions that are required for their application level.

Peak and Timberline Criteria Questions:
The criteria for the Peak and Timberline applications are obtained by purchasing a copy of the criteria from the BPEP© .  Three versions are available, one for Business_nonprofit, one for Education, and one for Health care. A Timberline application will contain answers to the Profile and Categories 1-6 (process categories). A Peak application will contain answers to the Profile, Process (Categories 1-6) and Results (Category 7).
Visit the Baldrige website to purchase the criteria.

Foothills  and High Plains Criteria Questions:
A High Plains submission will contain only answers to the questions found in the Profile section of the Baldrige Excellence Builder©.  A Foothills application addresses the profile section and the approaches (A) to the questions in Categories 1-6 of of the Baldrige Excellence Builder©.  Visit the Baldrige website to download a free copy of the Baldrige Excellence Builder© or purchase hard copies.
